Chef Sparkle McPherson

Chef Sparkle’s love for continental cuisine was developed at a young age growing up in Augsburg, Germany where she was exposed to a variety of foods that would fuel her lifelong passion for cooking. Her family traveled Europe as well as the Northeast coast of the States experiencing cuisine from all regions, eventually settling back in Houston. Chef Sparkle graduated from the University of Houston with a BBA concentration in Entrepreneurship.


Chef Sparkle is a graduate of LeNotrê Culinary Institute which on 2018-2019 is ranked as the #1 Culinary school in the United States. During her time Chef Sparkle consistently ranked highest in her class with perfect attendance. During her time there she was student of the month as well as having the honor of winning the Gaston LeNotrê Scholarship. 

Chef Sparkle has worked and overseen operations as well as menu creation at the original Red Cat Jazz Cafe in Houston , Harlon's BBQ as pastry chef, Client Relations Manager at Davis Street at Hermann Park , and Operating General Manager at Martini Blu.


Chef Sparkle has worked with clients including Michelle Obama, Sasha Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder , Mayor Kaseem Reed, Houston Texans General Manager Rick Smith and the Houston Texans Organization, Singers Ledisi, Kenny Lattimore, Eric Benet, Amare Stoudemire, and more. 

Chef Sparkle has also had the privilege of working alongside 2 star Michelin Rated French Chef Olivier Burgos ranked best chef of Queensland Australia, 5 awards for Best European restaurant On the Gold Coast and 14/20 on the Australian Good Food guide. 

She is also a food stylist and consultant for TLC. 

The latest professional success is SMC CATERING CO. is the executive chef and caterer for the Fortune 100 company SAP as well as the caterer for numerous other corporate entities.
